The Opportunity: Entry-Level Lab Technician (Intern-to-Full-Time)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our R&D team as an Entry-Level Lab Technician. This is a crucial intern-to-full-time role for candidates with the clear potential and commitment to transition into a permanent employee immediately following a successful three months internship period.
As an essential member of our R&D engineering team, you will assist in the development, fabrication, and testing of our cutting-edge acoustofluidic devices.
Core Responsibilities (What You Will Do):
- Device Fabrication & Assembly: Fabricate, assemble, and test complex microfluidics and benchtop electronics prototypes. (Experience with micro-fabrication or clean room environments is a plus!)
- Acoustofluidic Testing: Execute rigorous testing procedures on various samples, including calibration beads, cell culture media, plasma, and whole blood.
- Documentation & Quality Control: Meticulously document all test results, troubleshoot issues, and record changes in inventory following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lab Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate external service/repair when necessary.
- Administrative Support: Provide support for administrative efforts .
Required Skills & Qualities (What You Will Bring):

- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable operating and maintaining lab equipment and diligently following detailed procedures after training.

Minimum Application Requirements
Please review these requirements carefully before applying. We will only consider candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Education: An Associate degree in a related technical or scientific field, such as Biology, Biotechnology, Histotechnology, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related major.
- (High school degree with strong professional references detailing previous lab/manufacturing experience will be considered.)
- Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience: Greater than 3 months of experience in a lab or manufacturing environment, with professional references provided in your application.
- Location: Must currently be living near the Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC, area.
- Commitment: Must be available to start immediately for an internship of at least 30 hours per week, on-site during business hours (9:30-5:30), with the full intention of transitioning to a full-time employee after the 3-month internship period.
